Lemon Beauty is a split-cupped papillon, an ADS Classic, and award recipient. (AM Haarlem 1962) White rounded petals surround a star shaped, yellow and white striped split cup. This one shines on its own or in a crowd. According to the American Daffodil Society, there are two types of Split-Cupped Daffodils: 'Collar' and 'Papillon.' The corona segments of Papillon Daffodils are positioned alternate to the petal segments, usually in two whorls of three. Papillon, or "butterfly" daffodils typically have a flat, open-faced cup.
