Mother duck is a golden yellow dwarf cyclamineus. The mouth is very slightly expanded and minutely frilled. Cyclamineus daffodils are quite distinctive; according to the American Daffodil Society, they have significantly reflexed petals surrounding a straight and slender cup. The flower head is positioned at an acute angle to the stem, with a very short neck.
