Introduced in 1962, Dardanus is an Oncocyclus iris with rich lilac standards and white with purple veined falls, all on sturdy 2 foot stems. Iris Dardanus rc is an unusual Mediteranean Regeliocyclus hybrid of Regelia I. korolkowii ‘Concolor’ teamed with the Onco I. iberica . This stunner will be a focal point in the landscape border. Oncocyclus aril irises are wild bearded irises that originate in western Asia and occur in areas of dry often hot summers and dry cool or cold winters. Their single flowers are often veined and spotted.
